By: LIME, Press Release

Basseterre, St. Kitts – September 23, 15  -- LIME partners with Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Cancer Support Group for 4th annual “Shades of Pink” Event for St. Kitts Nevis National Heroes Day, hundreds of patrons attending ‘Shades of Pink 4: Hats Off to Survivors” held on Wednesday September 16, 2014 at the historic Government house.

The event was held under the distinguished patronage of the Governor General His Excellency Mr. S. W. Tapley Seaton C.V.O, QC, J.P.   The Reach for Recovery SKB Breast Cancer Support Group (RFRSKB) hosts Shades of Pink annually as its staple fund raiser and as a celebration of Breast Cancer survivors in the Federation.  This year’s Shades of Pink featured performances and appearances by the Four Play Band, the reigning National Talented Teen Ricki Brookes, Masquerades, CFBC Dance Ensemble and more.

The LIME Miss Caribbean Culture, Akiesha Fergus also donated a portion of her pageant winnings to the group in an extraordinary act of kindness. Patrons decked in pink took part in spot and door-prize raffles for prizes, which included free LIME Top-up credit, LIME Mobile data plans and the premium Samsung Galaxy A5 Smartphone!   RFRSKB, Spokesperson Markysa O’Loughlin says, "we extend sincerest thanks to LIME for their sponsorship as usual, LIME has provided us with merchandise which we will be using to generate revenue during our month of education and awareness activities for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2015.”

Marketing Manager, Kevin Edwards expressed "our support for the Reach for Recovery Breast Cancer group’s activities in October, again for the fourth year consecutive year is our way of showing our commitment and support in the fight against breast cancer in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.  This year we are also looking forward to partnering with the group for PINK ZONE which is a free breast examination program to be held again at our LIME Flag Ship Store, on Cayon Street, Basseterre, St. Kitts”

The telecoms provider LIME is proud to have sponsored “Shades of Pink” which is the first of many activities organised by RFRSKB for Breast Cancer Awareness month, further solidifying its commitment to supporting a wide spectrum of social and community initiatives in St. Kitts and Nevis.
