Police release names of Buckley’s shooting victims

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE names of the three victims of Sunday’s (Oct. 11) shooting incident, as well as the injuries they suffered, were released by the police today (Oct. 13).

     

    A Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s communiqué informed that the injured men are 37-year-old Devon ‘Cocksman’ of Trafalgar Village, 30-year-old Rodney ‘Star Boy’ Clarke of Greenlands and 46-year-old Valentine ‘Zebra’ Benjamin of Buckley’s Estate.

    According to the release, the men were “engaged in a card game” when an “unknown assailant appeared and opened fire”.

    SKNVibes understands that the men were taken to the nearby Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment of their wounds, Benjamin being shot in the lower right leg, Clarke in the right side of his hip and Jeffers sustained injuries to both his right foot and left hand.

    The incident took place in the vicinity of the Caribbean Cinemas, near a shed under which barbeque is prepared and sold.

    The police have advised that persons with information that could assist with solving this case could contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 465-2241 Ext. 230, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477 (TIPS) or the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241.
