    CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – A Brown Hill man who pleaded guilty to a charge of battery was yesterday (Apr. 21) fined $800 or one month in prison when he appeared before Magistrate Yasmin Clarke in the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court.

     

    Dennis Stanley pleaded guilty to beating Roy Williams, also of Brown Hill, on March 22 at Craddock Road. Stanley has one month to pay the fine or he will spend a month behind bars.

     

    Also appearing in court on Tuesday was Kevin Chapman of Brown Pasture, who pleaded guilty to larceny after stealing a cell phone valued EC$154. He was fined $500 and given two months to pay it or spend a month in jail.

     

    And Emile Liburd, also known as Sticker, of Cole Hill was cautioned by the Magistrate after he pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.
