October 23rd,2015 -- The Alzheimer’s Association at its most recent regular meeting (19th October, 2015) had the pleasure of welcoming a visitor from the Ministry of Health. The visitor was Dr Retna Walwyn Browne, Director of Community Based Health Services. Dr. Joan Rawlins, president of the Association, had sometime earlier informed the Ministry of Health of the activities of the Association and invited the Ministry to partner with the Association in some of the activities.
Dr. Walwyn Browne in her presentation to the group, noted that the establishment of such a group was an excellent idea and that many persons, in time, would benefit from the support which the group affords to caregivers and persons with Alzheimer’s disease.
President Dr. Joan Rawlins used the opportunity of this vist from Dr. Walwyn Browne to ask her to present the Certificates of Attendance to the two delegates from the association who had recently attended the Alzheimer’s disease International (ADI) training at the Alzheimer’s University in London. The delegate were Mrs Margaret Hodge and Dr. Sam Rawlins.
