FLOW opens Super Store on Fort Street

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BILL-PAYING customers and others seeking to do business with FLOW, formally LIME, will now have to access the company’s new location on Fort and Central Streets within the building that once house the Royal Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

The new location, which is dubbed ‘FLOW Superstore’ and was formally opened to the public today (Oct. 27), is offering a variety of products and services; and according to the Retail Manager St. Kitts-Nevis, Anthony Morton, these include improvement of existing services and new services that would come on-stream in the near future.

Last evening, during a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, Government officials, clergymen, prospective and current FLOW customers as well as media representatives gained first-hand experience of the store’s new feel and some of the services being offered.

“We actually acquired FLOW because, if you can remember, LIME had an acronym which stood for Landline, Internet, Mobile and Entertainment. But for the years that we have been here, the E in entertainment has been missing. And why we acquired FLOW in November 2014 was simply because FLOW in the markets that exists does broadband very well and it does television very well.

“So that E is now existing because of the acquisition that we made with FLOW. So now we have a very comprehensive service that we can offer to our customers by way of landline, by way of internet, by way of mobile and now by way of television. And this is FLOW.”

He said the entertainment aspect of the offers would not come to fruition until sometime next year, specifically the television service. He also explained that the broadband service would improve under the FLOW brand.

“The television will come next year because we have to continue to invest tremendous amounts of capital in the network infrastructure so that we can provide this type of service throughout the Federation. So we are doing that phase by phase. Our first phase is to introduce a superfast broadband where our original offers were two mgs, three and six. Now we are offering six mgs, nine, 12, 24 and a whopping 48. So with that said, your internet experience with us will tremendously increase and tremendously improve based on the speeds.”

Morton explained that previously LIME’s premium broadband package was six Megs for $249, but under FLOW that package would now be offered for $99.

Country Manager David Lake, in giving concise remarks at the opening last evening, said FLOW is “poised to deliver world-class products and services to St. Kitts and Nevis”.

He informed that in short order, FLOW would “unveil our new retail stores, which have been designed with the customer in mind. The new retail experience centre, the first of its kind on the island, was designed with interactive features, self-help facilities and newly-trained customer agents, all working together to transform the entire customer experience”.

Minister Shawn K. Richards, on behalf of the Government, congratulated FLOW on the opening of its Super Store and cautioned the staff that having the best retail store and environment is not enough, but there must also be the complementary excellent customer service.

“Therefore, I want to say to you to ensure that you offer the customers, the retailers, the commercial entities the very best service that they can possibly get, not just here in St. Kitts and Nevis but elsewhere throughout the region or internationally. You must make that your goal and, I’m certain that if you do so, that you can actually achieve it.”

This is the second FLOW Superstore to be launched in the Caribbean; the first being in Montego Bay about one week ago.
