St. Kitts And Nevis Remembers Our World War Heroes

By: Office of the Press Secretary, Press Release

November 6, 2015 --The Remembrance Day Parade and Service in St. Kitts and Nevis will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015, at 7am at the Cenotaph in Basseterre.

Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris used the occasion of his press conference on Tuesday to invite the national community to come out and give support to this important annual ceremony held to commemorate the heroic men and women who gave their lives in defense of global stability. “We want persons to come so that we can remember the dead for their contribution to the peace and prosperity of the world”, said Dr. Harris.

Remembrance Day, sometimes known as Poppy Day, is observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of World War I in memory of members of the armed forces who died in the line of duty.
