    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 6TH 2005 (CUOPM) - A Clinical Affiliation Agreement has been reached between the recently opened Robert Ross International University of Nursing and the Ministry of Health of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.
    The Clinical Affiliation Agreement will enable students at the Robert Ross International University of Nursing (RRIUON) located at Camps, St. Kitts to be attached to the institutions and community nursing service facilities of the Ministry of Health for their clinical training as part of their associate degree nursing programme.
     
    The facilities include the Joseph N. France General Hospital, the Mary Charles Hospital, the Pogson Hospital, the Basseterre Health Center and the Clinics around the island.
     
    RRIUON students and faculty toured the Joseph N. France General Hospital on Tuesday and were welcomed by several officials including Chief of Staff, Dr. Cameron Wilkinson and Hospital Matron, Mrs. Sonia Daly during an Orientation Programme.

    Dr. Wilkinson underscored that professional standards are to be observed at all times and patient confidentiality maintained. Matron Daly stated that nursing is about relationships and that the nurses uniform signifies the level of care expected from the student, learning and sharing.
