Monday 7th December 2015, Basseterre, St. Kitts: As part of its commitment to giving back to communities across St. Kitts and Nevis, last Friday, the Digicel team visited the Cardin Home with a very special donation of US$10,000.

The donation – which also marks the start of Digicel’s 10th anniversary celebrations – will go a long way in helping the home and its residents, all of whom suffer from varying physical and mental disorders; most have no family.

Alongside the Digicel team were Head Nurse, Mrs. Lavern Bass as well as the other nurses and residents of the home. According to Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis Marketing Executive, Tishanna Jeffers; “Digicel’s commitment to communities in the Federation is unwavering, with our main focus on special needs, education and overall health of our citizens. We believe that everyone should feel loved and comfortable regardless of any physical limitations, especially when living apart from family members – and we hope that this donation goes some way in helping them feel that love.”

An elated Sister Bass thanked Digicel for its support of the Cardin Home, saying; “On behalf of the entire staff, doctors and the government, we thank Digicel for choosing the Cardin Home for its donation and in celebration of ten years. This contribution is greatly appreciated and we wish Digicel many more prosperous years in the future.”
