Non-profits organizations can benefit from fundraising cruises

Press Release

December 11th, 2015 -- Local nonprofit organizations can benefit from fundraising cruise efforts put forward by work from home international business Paycation Travel. Four local-based representatives of the company Janelle Lamothe, Isis Phipps Prudencia Gaiton and La Jauné O’Garro are touting the benefits of being a part of the Paycation family or booking group cruises with any Paycation agent, while at the same time raising funds for non-profit organizations.

“(The cruise line) match any (funds raised for) non-profitable organizations. So if you are trying to raise funds for a church or anything like that, how much you raise, the company (cruise line) matches,” Lamothe said.

“If you book a certain amount of cabins, you also get a cabin free; free to do whatever you want. If you want to sell it, you want to go on the cruise yourself or, you want to raffle it,” she said.

Lamothe and the other three agents been involved with the company for the last few months and have benefited tremendously. Persons can work from home and earn an extra income through two main ways. After joining Paycation, persons can do a simple test and become a certified travel agent (CTA). They then can sell cruises and hotel packages and earn commissions or they encourage others to join and earn $US50 commissions. Each person that joins receives a travel portal website with a complete administrative backend allowing the agent to book cruises, flights and other vacation packages. The cost to join is normally a one-time fee of $US150 and a monthly fee $US69.95. But a person can sign up this month as a Christmas special for month at $US100.

The monthly fee is to maintain the travel website and the business. Additionally, as CTCs, agents have the opportunity to receive major discounts on travel, accommodations and cruises sometimes saving as much as $1000. “I was able to take my kids to Disney World in August, stay at a hotel for $US49 just for mentioning that I am travel agent from being with Paycation…it was $US49 for four days and three nights,” Prudencia said.

Meanwhile, Isis Phipps, a stay at home mom with six children, sought to allay the concerns of persons who may have heard of Paycation and think it’s a scam. “People would speak about stuff that they don’t understand and I strongly believe that getting the knowledge of something before you speak about it in a negative way is where people always look at things as scam,” she explained. “Anything can be a scam if you don’t know about it. You have to get the knowledge about it first, before you can say anything bad.”

To support Mrs. Phipps’ arguments, La Jauné O’Garro, one of the youngest members of Paycation in St. Kitts and Nevis further explained that Paycation Travel has a product working with reputable travel companies such as Priceline, Expedia and the top cruise lines around the world and could therefore not be a scam.  Xstream Travel is Paycation’s parent company and is based in Texas, USA for the past 14 years.
