Basseterre, St.Kitts (April 28th 2009) :-WarDadli Souljahs one of the Caribbean’s top Reggae Sound System and the Caribbean Cub Soundclash Champions out of Antigua will be in St. Kitts on May 9th as part of the much anticipated Miss Personality and Marvelous Queen and Ring Band Calypso Show event at PAM Headquarters.
WarDadli comes from the fact the sound is from Antigua also called Wadadli since the sound was building to be a clash sound, war was incorporated and it was called WarDadli.
SoulJahs in its unique spelling comes from the fact that the sound is fighting for Antigua, and they have Jah in their souls thus SoulJah.
Although one of the youngest sounds to emerge from the Caribbean in the last decade, the WarDadli Souljahs, within five years, have risen as one of the top sounds in Caribbean.
The Antiguan based duo of brothers Shaka (Dangerous) Goodwin & Gamal (Selecta G) Goodwin forms’ the nucleus of the sound and are complemented by recent members De Keg (selector), and Mufasa (member).
The Souljahs are no stranger s to the regional and international sound scene. They remain the undefeated Caribbean Cup Champs, and still recount their US win at the Philadelphia Link-Up Sound Clash as one of their proudest moments.
“We are always excited whenever we get an opportunity to touch down in St.Kitts,” said Souljah member Shaka. “As always everyone in SK can look forward to a wicked session at the “AFTA SHOCK" at PAM headquarters,” Shaka continued
Wardadli Souljahs will be featured at the “AFTA-SHOCK 2” the official after party of the Miss PAM Queen and Ring Band Calypso Show. The after party event will also feature St.Kitts sound systems and DJ’s including the Evolution Family, Sweet Sister Sensia and Energetic International featuring selector DJ Yardy.
