BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – RESIDENTS of St. Christopher and Nevis awoke this morning (Dec. 22) to news that yet another shooting incident had taken place, this time in the Camps Village area, specifically “Ocean Lawn” as noted in a police press release.

“Initial investigations have revealed a 30-year-old male was shot by two unknown assailants dressed in dark clothing while he was entering his home. A number of shots were fired at the victim with one striking him in the pelvic area.”

The release indicated that the man was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital via the Emergency Medical Services for medical attention.

The Police’s release makes no mention of the identity of the victim. However, this publication received unconfirmed reports suggesting that his name is Chad Williams.

Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime, Ian Queeley is quoted in the release as issuing the usual appeal to members of the public who might have information relative to the case.

“Our Forensics Unit has canvassed the scene but your assistance coupled with what we do will be the difference in solving these crimes…

“We urge anyone with information that can assist the police in this crime, or any other crime to call any Police Station in the Federation or Crime Stoppers, our confidential hotline at 1-800-8477 to share information…”
