Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis (January 26, 2016) -- InfoDev/World Bank Group under its Entrepreneurship Programme for Innovation in the Caribbean (EPIC) with funding support from the Canadian Government has made available more opportunities for the citizens and residents in Federation and by extension the Eastern Caribbean.
Persons interested in the creation of mobile applications or establishing a digital business will be afforded the opportunity to be part of this programme. These opportunities will be offered through St. Kitts and Nevis’s First Digital Venture Accelerator/Incubator: Innovatethenext CODESKN, which is a result of a unique partnership between Quintessence Consulting Inc. and PItchITCaribbean under the Caribbean Mobile Innovation Project (CMIP) implemented by a Consortium led by UWI Consulting Inc.
InnovatetheNext CODESKN aims at attracting high-potential digital and digital enabled enterprises and innovators to launch successful and scalable innovative solutions and businesses.
Accelerators or otherwise known as Technology focused Incubators, are innovative investment vehicles and business service providers that make a novel contribution to advancing entrepreneurship around the globe, helping an entire generation of young companies, and particularly high-tech startups, to grow, prosper and thrive. Around the world these startup programmes have become the principal source of knowledge and support. In a region where diversification opportunities are needed, opportunities which support the growth of a new sector of Export oriented Digital and Digital Enabled businesses is fundamental; as the Digital Economy supports the growth of other key Pillars of our economy.
