BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INFORMATION reaching this publication, which was confirmed by the police, states that a Frigate Bay home was burglarised on Tuesday morning (Feb. 16) and the resident was robbed of a quantity of personal items and an undisclosed sum of cash.
According to a police communiqué, initial investigations revealed that the resident went to bed after securing their home at about midnight but awoke around 3:00 a.m. to the presence of two male intruders dressed in black clothing with their faces concealed.
The bandits reportedly stole a television set, three cellular phones, a laptop computer and an undisclosed sum of cash before making good their escape.
The scene was processed by members of the Criminal Investigations Department and the Crime Scene Unit and investigations into the burglary are ongoing.
Over the years, a number of burglaries were committed in the Frigate Bay area and the police have been issuing safety tips to residents in prevention
The more recent of these incidents had occurred on Friday, November 20, 2015 when residents of a multi-unit building at Half Moon Courtyard were robbed of some US$4,500 and EC$200 by two masked, armed bandits.
