Basseterre, February 18th 2016: CenPOS Limited in collaboration with the Saint Kitts Department of Sport will host the 3rd Annual Private Primary Schools Championships on Tuesday, March 1st. Admission is free.
The event will take place at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium with the first session running from 9am – 12noon and the second from 2pm - 7pm. The six participating schools are the George Moody Stuart School, the Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School, the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) Preparatory School, the Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, the Saint Kitts International (SKI) Academy and defending champions the Immaculate Conception Catholic School (ICCS).
Gary Smith, Sales Executive at CenPOS, is enthused over the increased number of participating schools and welcomed the RUSVM Preparatory School as the newest participant at the Private Primary Schools Championships. He also emphasized that providing students with the opportunity to display their talents was the priority of all stakeholders and gave assurances that the iREP My School Talent Competition will again be a feature of this year’s meet.
Mr Smith conveyed his appreciation for the keen interest displayed by parents, teachers and students and gave assurances that, with assistance from the Department of Sport, support mechanisms will be deployed to ensure the safety and continued success of the meet. He further asserted CenPOS’ goal to eventually transform the Championships into a regional event, with participating athletes from private primary schools across the Eastern Caribbean.
