ARRESTS:
Arrested/Bailed: Udell Henry, of John Street, Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply committed at King Street, Basseterre on March 07. He was granted bail in the sum of $25,000 and ordered to appear at the Basseterre magistrate Court on Monday, 4th April, 2016.
Arrested: Audington Syder of Mc Knight was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Armed with an Offensive Weapon, Battery on Police, Resisting Arrest, Assault and Indecent language committed on March 6 at Mau Pau. He was arrested on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Obstruction.
CONVICTIONS:
COURT CONVICTION: At the High Court in the St.Christopher circuit presided over by Her Ladyship Madame Justice Marlene Carter in the Criminal Case SKBHCR 2015/011 the DPP vs Justin Stevens, Joash Lewis, Troy Allen, Jason Stevens and Shaquille Browne who were indicted for Building Breaking & Larceny committed between 25th and 29th December, 2012 at the start of trial on March 07, changed their plea from Not Guilty to Guilty. The sentencing is set for May 26, 2016 pending Social Inquiry Reports. All were granted bail until sentencing.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
Marijauna uprooted: A combined patrol reported that they up rooted fifty (50) marijuana plants from an abandon house along the Island Main Road Half Way Tree. The plants were seized by Police.
Traffic Accidents: None
Police conducted a total of 28 Vehicular Check Points and or Stop and Searches and several searches of abandoned properties on March 07. The check points and searches were done in efforts to ensure Citizen Safety, by removing any found Illegal Firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes.
