Kingston: West Indies Home Contractors (WIHCON) will be embarking on it’s 1st Diaspora Tour dubbed “The Coming Home To You Tour” beginning Friday April 15th, 2016 in Canada. WIHCON plans to cover 8 cities and 3 countries on their initial push into the Diaspora Marketplace.

The Coming Home To You tour is aimed at creating a seamless way to allow Jamaicans in the Diaspora to realize their dream of home ownership in the land of their birth. Whether it’s for purposes of investment, for return upon their retirement or for a member of their family WIHCON will be redefining what it means to truly be home.

“We are excited to embark on this tour, as one of Jamaica’s leading developers and contractors our focus has always been not just about building structures but creating communities….Jamaicans living abroad are a big part of that community” Aisha Campbell, General Manger said. “We want to give them the opportunity to own their piece of The Rock. It’s giving them the ability to seamlessly reinvest, buy Jamaican and have that physical connection to home.”

The tour will take place over 3 months, mainly on the weekends and after work as WIHCON took into account the working schedule of Jamaicans in the Diaspora which will allow for more persons to attend. The tour kicks off in Canada with four dates, 2 in the GTA beginning April 15th at the Toronto Sheraton and April 16th in Ajax at The Hilton Garden Inn and the others stops in Canada on the 18th and 19th of April in Montreal at Ruby Foods and at Ottawa City Hall respectively. Once the tour leaves Canada they head to “The DMV” which encompasses the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area where WIHCON will call on the Jamaicans in that area to head to the event at The Comfort Inn Capital Beltway on the 23rd of April.

Connecticut is next up which will see Jamaicans in that locale meeting at The West Indian Social Club on May 1st. The tour wraps up in New York where the majority of Jamaicans in the Diaspora reside with 2 evening sessions the first on Thursday May 5th at St Lukes in the Bronx and the last tour stop in the USA on the 6th of May at Trelawni Restaurant in Brooklyn. The UK Tour takes place in June with a stop in London at Kensington Hall on the 23rd of June and participation in the Diaspora Conference in Birmingham on the 24th of June.

Throughout “The Coming Home To You Tour” WIHCON will partner with other key companies such as BCIC, Jamaica National Building Society, Victoria Mutual Building Society, Active Home Center, Hawkeye, PGP law group in Canada and Taylor Law in NY. Having these partners on board will allow for WIHCON’s seminars to provide a wealth of knowledge on home insurance, mortgages, home decor, security, property management and of course the legalities involved with home buying. Each attendee will also receive a passport that will have a “Visa” from each partner which has an exclusive offer available only for persons attending the seminars during this tour.

For over 50 years, WIHCON has been the standard bearer in real estate development. With more than 50 schools and 46,000 homes built, they remain dedicated to building great communities, providing real value for money, and encouraging growth of the Jamaican economy.
