A police report stated that during a stop and search operation in the Frigate Bay area earlier today (Apr. 30), members of the SSU searched an individual and found that person to be in possession of a .40mm pistol and a magazine with four matching rounds of ammunition.

The individual was taken into custody and charges would soon follow, while this media house understands that ballistic tests will be carried out on the illegal firearm to ascertain if it had been used in the commission of past murders and or other gun-related crimes.

SKNVibes also learnt that the individual allegedly caught with the illegal firearm is a male and he hails from Sandy Point. It was further learnt that the man was at the Frigate Bay Strip and he was apprehended sometime after 4:00 a.m.
