Basseterre, St. Kitts, (3 May 2016) - The Ministry of International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs in collaboration with the CARICOM Secretariat will be conducting a series of national training sessions as captioned above.
The overall objective of the project is to assist CARICOM Member States in improving and strengthening their regulatory, administrative and institutional arrangements to enable achievement of the objectives of regional economic integration and the functioning of the Single Market.
The project is therefore geared towards the training of Consumer protection officials and representatives of NGOs, in areas of Consumer Protection Policy, the CARICOM Rapid Alert System for the Exchange of Information on Dangerous Nonfood Goods (CARREX), and Competition Law and Policy.
The training sessions will be held over a three-day period (4 - 6 May 2016) at the Marriott Hotel.
