Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 4, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of and Arrest, Convictions and other Activities from the records of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. For period 30 April to May 03.
ARREST AND OR BAIL:
Arrested: Kerron Pierre of Prickly Pear Alley was arrested, and formally charged and cautioned with a warrant, in the first instance for the offence of battery and wounding without a warrant. The incident occurred on April 4, 2016.
Bailed: Rakeem Eddy of Gillard's Meadows Development was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 E.C.C. for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 20th June, 2016. He was arrested, charged and formally cautioned on a warrant in the first instance for offence of receiving. The incident occurred on April 20th 2016.
Bailed: Lezmore Whattley of Upper College Street Ghaut was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th June 2016. He was arrested, charged and formally cautioned on a warrant in the first instance for the offence of Inflicting Grievous Bodily harm. The incident occurred on April 07th 2016.
Bailed: Sylvester Sturge of Dieppe Bay was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on Monday 6th, June. He was arrested for the offences of an armed with offensive weapon, to wit a machete.
COURT CONVICTIONS:
None to report.
OTHER ACTIVITY:
There were five (5) traffic accidents on the federation’s roadways (3) in St. Kitts and (2) Nevis on May 3rd. The traffic departments notes an increase in minor traffic accidents along our roadways and encourages drivers to be more vigilant.
- Police continues to conduct vehicular check point, stop and searches and searches of abandoned house and lots. This activity in an ongoing effort to remove illegal firearms, drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities. One such search over the weekend by officers conducting a coastal patrol ended with the discovery of several bales of marijuana on a beach in the Indian Castle are of Nevis.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS: Officers of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force continue efforts to reach the public through in- community interaction. Several stations conducted meet and greet sessions in their communities over the last days. School Liaison Officers continue their visits to the schools assigned.
