May 5th, 2016 -- US Virgin Islands based Hummingbird Air has resumed passenger and cargo flights to St. Kitts & Nevis starting Sunday May 8. The resumption of service is timed to coincide with the busy summer travel season. The airline plans to commence its service with flights every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
They plan to increase the number of flights to St. Kitts and Nevis as demand increases. In addition to passenger Hummingbird Air will also transport cargo and packages to and from the US Virgin Islands and the twin island federation. The airline also plans to introduce its ShopNet internet shopping delivery service to the twin island federation.
The company’s new Director of Operations is Mr. Lloyd Prince. He is a former US Navy pilot and AirTran Captain who is originally from St. Croix. “I am really excited to bring my background and training back to the Caribbean” said Captain Prince. “I have wanted to come back to the Caribbean for some time I am glad for the opportunity to lead a young company and to help improve air transportation in our region”.
