BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE National Petroleum (NP) movement is expected to gain considerable momentum within the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, especially with the recent launch of its Ultra Lubricants Line.
Earlier this week, Kendal Charles, the Export Representative from NP in Trinidad, was in St. Kitts with top officials of Delta Petroleum (DP) to engage in a number of activities including the launch and an island-wide motorcade.
The launch took place at the Delta Petroleum 24-hour gas station, where Charles explained that plans were made for the NP-DP linkup because he was impressed with the Federation’s market potential when he came to St. Kitts in December last.
“When I came in December and realized the potential of the whole St. Kitts market, I just had to make sure and ensure that our company supports Delta with this promotion. We have a range of industrial lubricants and automotive lubricants, and we are here to just make some noise in St. Kitts and let people know of the quality product being blended here in the Caribbean. It’s your own coming from Trinidad!”
Regional General Manager for Delta Petroleum (Caribbean) Limited Bevis Sylvester said DP is the exclusive local distributor of the Ultra products and indicated that he was excited about the partnership.
“I am very excited to be here today to be part of this NP Delta Petroleum promotion as it relates to lubricants. Lubes touch every facet of life. It’s all about your life’s journey with National Petroleum and Delta Petroleum. Delta Petroleum is the exclusive distributor for NP products in St. Kitts and Nevis. This being said, we intend to shake this entire market up to let people know the quality of product that is being blended right there in Trinidad in a state-of-the-art blending plant.”
While speaking with SKNVibes, Charles explained that Ultra oils are set apart from others, in that not only do they meet international standards but they are specifically formulated for the Caribbean.
“Our oils, Ultra NP oils and NP oils are blended to international standards, meaning there are certified by the American Petroleum Institute (etc). They meet all the international standards. The difference with our oils is that we, in our formulations, made it to complement our type of driving in the Caribbean…stop-and-go driving.”
Sylvester expressed his confidence that the DP-NP partnership would be to be a force to reckoned with within the local market.
The motorcade saw a number of promotional items including bottle openers, hats, bags and oils being given away.
