SKNVibes' Stachio Williams covers Inauguration for the 14th-term President and Vice President of Taiwan

    Taipei, Taiwan, May 19, 2016 (SKNVibes) Stachio Williams, CEO of SKNVibes visits Taiwan as part of a delegation of International Press Covering the Inauguration for the 14th-term President and Vice President of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The International Press delegation consists of representatives from all major international regions and of those nations who have established strong diplomatic relations with Taiwan, including St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Belize, Australia, Hungary, Ireland, Dominican Republic and others. 

     

    The International Press Delegate group today, May 19th, made a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Su Jia-chyuan, a member of Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and the recently elected Legislative Speaker of the country’s lawmaking body, the Legislative Yuan. During this visit, Stachio Williams along with other delegates, spoke about his media company's vision and focus and his respective media coverage plans for the Inauguration event slated for tomorrow, May 20th, in Taipei. 

     

    SKNVibes Founder and CEO Williams, in his presentation, spoke about the work that his company is doing in nation building and how excited he is for the opportunity to be able to represent his home country as a media representative and ambassador for St. Kitts and Nevis at such an auspicious moment and inflection point in Taiwan's history. He further congratulated the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and the people of Taiwan for electing their first female President Tsai Ing-wen.

     

    The legislative speaker, Mr. Su Jia-chyuan, in his remarks, referred to President Tsai Ing-wen as "A Progressive President" noting that this is a major milestone in Taiwan's history and shows, resolutely, Taiwanese democratic ideals and leadership as a developed people. He also presented a very progressive leadership agenda for the new president dubbed the “Dawn of a New Era” which ushers in with it a ‘New Path for Parliament’, ‘Museums of Living History’, ‘Economic Restructuring and Diversification Programs’, and ‘Centers for Creativity and Innovation’ among many other new initiatives--all in the spirit of progressive leadership and nation building.

     

    The International Press Delegates attended a welcome reception hosted by Mr. Leo Chen-jan Lee, Vice Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs followed by a full tour of the headquarters of SingTex, a major clothing and textile manufacturing company. Its patented innovative clothing and fabric designers and engineers take coffee grounds combined with plastic bottles and other recyclable objects to produce fabrics that have built-in odor control, UV protection and that are fast-drying and waterproof at the same time.  

     

    The day ended with a large-scale banquet welcoming delegations to the Inauguration for the 14th-term President and Vice President of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Taipei Guest House. This remarkably well-staged, highly-secured event saw dignitaries and high ranking government officials from many nations worldwide show up in small groups in order to attend this very important inauguration ceremony.

     

    A delegation of government officials from St. Kitts and Nevis led by Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris was also in attendance. This delegation included Premier of Nevis, the Honourable Vance Amory and Mrs. Amory,  Attorney General, Honourable Vincent Byron and Mrs. Byron, and Director-General of The St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS), Mr. Lesroy Williams.  The ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency George Gow Wei Chiou, also accompanied the delegation.
