BVI, May 19th, 2016 -- The Cada Players will once again bring the stellar performances of our resident BVI talent to the stage with their twentyfirst production, “TattleTales”, opening Saturday, May 21 at UP’s Cineplex Ballroom. Charming, life-sized puppets designed by acclaimed U.S. Master Puppeteer, Richard Bay. The production will bring three rich African fables to life amid vibrant drums, beautiful dancers, big screen projections and witty story-telling.

There are eight opportunities to see the show, with two performances scheduled for Saturday, May 21, two for Sunday, May 22, and a repeat of these shows the following weekend, May 28 and 29.  Also, each early show at 3:00 p.m. on the Sundays are designed especially for very young children.

2016 will mark The Cada Players’ twentieth year of showcasing the amazing talent found right here in the BVI, and the group invites everyone to join them for “TattleTales”, as they run from the Witch, out-smart Sky God, trick a Jumbie and unmask the monster in Rabbit’s house. Donkey, Elephant, Leopard and fifteen more unique creatures are standing by to delight all generations and bring out the childlike laughter we all have inside.

This year’s show will offer Youth Outreach Tickets, sponsored by local businesses, to students with a special interest in performance art. Also, in keeping with the drama group’s long tradition of “acting up” for good causes, “TattleTales” proceeds will benefit Hands on Volunteers for Green VI and Haiti, as did last year’s “Kaleidoscope” and previous shows such as “African Dream” and “Ringmaster”.

Tickets are $20 Youth/Seniors, $30 Adults, $40 VIP, and are available at Vanterpool’s, Studio One, Tortola Express, House, and from any of the show’s thirty cast members.  For more information, contact Joanne Penney or Sarah Penney at 494-2324 or cadabvi@yahoo.com.
