    Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 30, 2016 (RSCNPF): Below is a report of and Arrest, Convictions and other Activities for the report of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force. For period 24 thru 29 May. 

     

    ARREST AND BAIL:
    Arrested/Bailed: Travis Tracy Liburd of Conaree was arrested and formally charged for driving when he was not a holder of a valid driver's license and not being covered by a policy of insurance. Bailed: He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at the District "A" Magistrate Court on Monday the 6th of June 2016 at 9:00  in the forenoon. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Mikhail Warde of Ponds Extension was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of possession of ammunition. Bailed. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 ECC for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the 6th June 2016 at 09:am in the forenoon. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Jevaughan Dickenson of St Pauls was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply.  Bailed: He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on the 6th June 2016 at 09:00hrs in the forenoon. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed:  Ray Williams of Fountain Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Possession of Cannabis.  He was granted bail in the sum of sum of $5,000.00 EC for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 31st May 2016 at 09:00.
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Jovan Brazier of La Guerite Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of  Cannabis with Intent to Supply. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 6/6/16 at 9 o'clock in the forenoon.  
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Rajia Farrell of Bird Rock was arrested and formally charged on a Warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Threatening Language tending to a breach of the peace. Bail: Rajia Farrell of Bird Rock who was charged with the offence of Threatening Language appeared before the District 'A' Magistrate Court and was granted bail in the sum of $2,000.00 and ordered to appear at the District A Magistrate Court on 4th July 2016 at 9 o'clock in the forenoon.  
     
    Arrested: Kylon Battice of Ponds Extension was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on warrants in the first instance signed by a Magistrate for the offences of  possession of firearm and possession of ammunition.
     
    Arrested: Marvin Richards of Boyds Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a warrant in the First Instance for the offence of Receiving. Offence Committed between 15th January and 20th February 2016.
     
    Arrested: Chris Warner of Farms Site, Sandy Point was arrested and formally charged with a warrant for the offence of Possession Cannabis, with intent to supply. 
     
    Arrested: Alfred Caines of West Bourne Ghaut/Street was arrested, formally charged and cautioned on a Warrant in the First Instance, duly signed by Her Honour Ms Harris for the offence of larceny. 
     
    Arrested: Damien Liburd of Upper Cayon Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for  the offence of Larceny committed on May 24, 2016.
     
    Arrested: Akeem Connor of St.Pauls was arrested and formally charged for the offence of carrying abroad an offensive weapon to wit a knife. 
     
    Arrested: Marvin Miller of Cayon were arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of  possession of Cannabis .
     
    Bailed: Kadeem Hendricks of New Road, who was arrested and charged for possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation, was granted bail in the sum of Ten Thousand dollars ($10,000.00) his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 6th June 2016 at 09:00hrs in the forenoon. 
     
    Bailed: Chris Warner of Farm's Site Sandy Point who was arrested and charged for possession of cannabis with intent to supply and cultivation, was granted bail in the sum of $500.00 his appearance at the District (B) Magistrate Court on Monday 6th June 2016 at 09:00hrs in the forenoon. This incident Occurred about 21:30hrs on 24th May 2016. 
     
    Bailed: Ackeem Connor of Davis Road Sandy Point who was arrested and charged for the offence of Carrying Abroad an Offence Weapon to wit a knife, was granted in the sum of $5000.00 his appearance at the District B Magistrate Court on Monday 6th June 2016 at 09:00hrs in forenoon. This incident Occurred about 17:30hrs on 25th May 2016.
     
    Bailed: Alister Earl Thomas of View Point Sandy Point who was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and battery on police, was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at the District "A" Magistrate Court on Monday the 6th of June 2016 at 9:00 in the forenoon. 
     
    Bailed:  Shevron Richards of Mount Idle, Sandy Point who was arrested and charged for Wounding With Intent To Cause Grievous Bodily Harm was granted bail by Her Ladyship Justice Marlene Carter in the sum of $20,000.00. The conditions of his bail are as follows:- He is to surrender all travel documents forthwith. Report to the Sandy Point Police Station on Mondays and Fridays between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. He is not to have any contact with or interfere with the virtual complainant either by himself or through any agent acting on his behalf or with his encouragement. Keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Not to go within 100 feet of the virtual complainant. Any breach of these conditions will result in immediate revocation of bail.
      
    COURT CONVICTIONS:
    In matters at the St. Christopher Circuit Court Criminal Assizes presided over by Her Ladyship Justice Marlene Carter a number of accused persons were sentenced Thursday 26th May, 2016.  
     
    They are as follows:
     
    -  Jacqueline Gumbs of Parray Village, St. Peters who pleaded guilty to Manslaughter on March 23,2016 was sentenced to time served.  She spent a few weeks short of five (5) years on remand at Her Majesty's Prison. She was then released.  
     
    - Raymond Pemberton of Pitcairn Street, Newtown who pleaded guilty to Wounding With Intent on Feb 10, 2016 sentencing was adjourned until 23rd June, 2016 pending the completion and submission of his psychiatric assessment.
     
    -  Justin Stevens of Buckley's, Jason Stevens of Conyers, Troy Allen of Halfway Tree, Shaquille Browne of Conyers and Joash Lewis of The Alley, Sandy Point who all pleaded guilty to Building Breaking and Larceny on March 07, 2016 were sentenced and ordered to pay compensation of $2,500.00 each in six (6) months or in default serve twelve (12) months imprisonment. 
     
    In matters at the Charlestown Magistrates Court presided over by Her Honour Miss Yasmine Clarke the following convictions were recorded: 
     
    - Fitzroy Hobson of Webbs Ground was convicted for the offence of  Battery and fined $1000.00 to be paid in three(3) months or if in default serve three(3) months in prison.
     
    -  Darren Monzac of Camps Village  was convicted for the offence of Possession of Cannabis and fined $1000.00  to be paid in three (3) months or if in default serve three  (3) months imprisonment. 
     
    In matters at the  District 'B' Magistrate's Court presided over by Her Honour Ms Karen Hill Hector,  James Jarvis of Lodge Village who was charged with the offence of Indecent Language committed on the Oct 17, 2015 at Lodge Village was convicted and fined $300.00ECC to be paid by June 14, 2016  or in default serve 30 days in prison. 
     
    OTHER ACTIVITY:
     
    Traffic Accident(s):  Six (6) traffic accidents occurred on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts on 24th May 2016. 
     
    Traffic accident occurred about 16:35hrs on the 24th May 2016 at Victoria road in the vicinity of the American bakery involving motor jeep PA7070 an motor car PA2900.
     
    Traffic accident occurred 24th May 2016 at about 12:03pm, Church street involving motor truck PA8534 an motor pickup PA9434. 
     
    Traffic accident occurred about 24th May 2016 at about 06:27 hrs involving Motor jeep P 6238 an a fence. 
     
    Traffic accident occurred at about 11:22 hrs on 25th May, 2016. At Bladen Development along the street in front F.N.D involving motor car PA1617 an motor car P1739. 
     
    Traffic accident occurred at about about 15:47 hrs on 25th May, 2016. Accident occurred along the Island Main Road at Prospect involving motor car P-6089 and motor car P-6578. 
     
    Another traffic accident occurred occurred along the Island Main Road a. Ten (10) persons were transported to JNF Hospital, six (6) of which were travelling on H4833 and two (2) from Pa1666.t Keys Village involving Motor Omni bus H4833 and Pa1666 owned by Horsford Company Ltd. This incident occurred at about 15:45 hrs on 25th May 2016.
     
    A number of other accidents occurred over the weekend.  One occurred in which 3 persons were treated at hospital and released. 
     
    Marijuana plants uprooted: A police patrol reported that they uprooted and seized fifty-six (56) marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to three feet in height from a bushy area of  land at Cabbage Tree, Cayon Village. 
     
    Vehicular Check Points: In the last few days, officers of the various units, and officers assigned to the various stations in the Federation continued to conduct vehicular check points,  searches of abandoned properties and lots and stop and searches of persons of interest.  Over 700 cars were checked by Police during the reporting period. These ongoing operations are a part efforts to remove illegal firearms, drugs and other instruments that can be used in criminal activity.  The end goal is to reduce the fear of crime in our communities and maintain citizen safety.
     
    COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS:  The Police School Liaison Officers continue to visit assigned Primary and Secondary Schools in the Federation.  The effort is to encourage good citizenship among our youth.  
     
    The Royal St.  Christopher and Nevis Police Force has pledged its support to a community based mentoring program established by residents of Cayon for students at the Cayon Primary School.  
     
    Officers of the Cayon Police Station attended and participated in a career fair at the Cayon Early Childhood Centre on Friday.
