Police hunt man who allegedly stabbed an officer

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is searching for a man who this media house understands wounded one of their own sometime on Sunday (May 29).

     

    The Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Office issued a wanted bulletin today (June 1) which indicated that Audington Syder, “a National of St. Kitts and Nevis is wanted by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force as a person of interest in relation to wounding committed on May 29, 2016 in Basseterre”.

    SKNVibes received reports which suggest that a boat ride was held on that day and after a fight broke out between individuals, an officer attempted to intervene and was stabbed in the process.

    The bulletin described Syder as being 5’10” tall, is noted that he was born on September 12, 1989 and listed his last known address as Fort Thomas Road.

    A bench warrant is in existence for Syder and anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS), the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241 or any other police station, and the information can be passed on anonymously.
