Carnival Cruise Line partners with St. Christopher Air & Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) for Best In Class High School Quiz Competition 2016

By: SCASPA, Press Release

Bird Rock, St. Kitts, June 9th, 2016 (SCASPA): An educational tour of operations and facilities on board Carnival Fascination was awarded to the winning team of the SCASPA Round in the recently held 2016 Best in Class High School Quiz Competition, on Friday 17th June 2016.  This is Carnival Cruise Line’s second consecutive year partnering in this venture.

Carnival graciously came on board in 2015 as an attractive part of an already enticing winning prize package when SCASPA celebrated its 5th Anniversary of Best in Class. The winning team and the runner-up were both treated to a tour and lunch on Carnival Splendor where they were treated splendidly.

Last year the teams Basseterre High School (winners of the competition) and Immaculate Conception Catholic School (the runner-up) were the recipients. This year, and for the second time around, team Basseterre High was “ship-Fascinated” as the winners of the SCASPA Round (accumulative) in the competition.

The contingent of six from the Basseterre High School is met and greeted the captain and shipboard team members, then explored the ship’s many attractions then climaxed the day with lunch aboard the vessel.

SCASPA, through Best in Class, wishes to express profoundest thanks to Carnival Cruise Line for partnering with us in this event that serves to raise SCASPA’s profile in the community and among the schools and students of St. Kitts and has generated a greater understanding of and appreciation for SCASPA’s role in national development.
