June 20th, 2016 - An Investiture will be held by His Excellency the Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton to confer the Independence 2015 Awards on awardees. The Ceremony will take place on Tuesday 21st June, 2016 at 10:00 am at the State Room, Government House, Springfield.
The Awardees are as follows:
1. Mr. Washington Archibald - Companion Star of Merit (CSM) honoured for his contribution to Education.
2. Mr. Richard Caines, J.P. - Companion Star of Merit (CSM) honoured for his contribution to Politics.
3. Mrs. Marjorie Morton - Companion Star of Merit (CSM) honoured for her contribution to Education.
4. Mrs. Sylvia Garnette - Medal of Honour (MH) ) honoured for her contribution to Nursing.
5. Mr. Ivan Hanley - Medal of Honour (MH) ) honoured for his contribution to Policing.
6. Mr. James Hanley 111- Medal of Honour (MH) honoured for his contribution to Sports & Community Development.
7. Mr. Theodore Hobson, Q.C. - Medal of Honour (MH) honoured for his contribution to Law.
Other Awardees who are presently absent from the Federation will be presented with their awards at a later date.
