One in custody for shooting two relatives in Sandy Point

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – QUICK reaction by officers at the Sandy Point Police Station resulted in the apprehension of an individual suspected of shooting at and injuring two young men earlier this evening (Jul. 8).

    Information reaching SKNVibes state that the two young men, Clovis and Joel Rogers of Sandy Point, are currently being treated at the Joseph N France General Hospital for gunshot wounds.

    This information was confirmed by newly-promoted Acting Superintendent Travis Rogers who was appointed Commander of District ‘B’. 

    Rogers told this media house that the two victims are related and that the incident occurred sometime after 6:00 p.m. at 42nd Street in Sandy Point, where they both were shot once to the leg.

    He also stated that police have arrested one suspect upon whom a firearm was found and it might have been used in commissioning of the crime.

    Rogers however informed that ballistics test would be done as investigations are ongoing.
