By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE partly-decomposed body which was found in the Newtown Ground area last week has yet to be officially identified and an autopsy has yet to be done, a source within the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has indicated.

The body was discovered last Friday (Jul. 29) at Fahie’s Mountain and was taken into police custody.

In a press release issued on the same day, the Police informed that the remains were those of a male and that the cause of death would be determined after an examination is performed by a Forensic Pathologist.

The source told SKNVibes today (Aug. 3) that because the autopsy has not yet been done, the cause of death is still unknown and so is the identity of the individual whose remains they are.

It was also indicated that the Forensic Pathologist is expected with arrive within the Federation sometime this week.

Individuals with information relevant to this case are encouraged to contact either the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS). Information can be transmitted on condition of anonymity.
