Three injured in Cayon shooting

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A simple hangout on a veranda last evening (Aug. 11) turned catastrophic when three young men were injured by gunshot.

The incident reportedly occurred at St. Mary’s Terrace in Upper Cayon at about 8:00 p.m.

Information received by this media house suggests that the men were on the veranda of a home in that area when a gunman(men) approached and opened fire. The men reportedly sought refuge inside the house but it was not enough to save them from injury.

SKNVibes understands that one of the individuals was shot in the chest and the other two reportedly sustained injuries to their legs.

The Emergency Medical Services was summoned to the scene and while two of the victims were taken directly to the Joseph N. France General Hospital (JNF), one was reportedly first transported to the Mary Charles Hospital in Molyneaux before being taken to JNF.

Investigations into the incident are being made.

The nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) can be contacted by individuals who might have information relative to this incident.
