Chester’s Chicken launches new app, new menu

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BRINGING a newness to the Chester’s Chicken brand, the fast food joint recently launched its brand new menu, mobile application and website which have been generating quite a buzz among the people of St. Kitts.

     

    The launch took place on Tuesday (Aug. 16) afternoon at its outlet located at the Caribbean Cinemas compound where there was a steady flow of patrons who were either faithful customers or individuals who heard of and were excited about the new offerings.

     

    The revamped menu, according to Operations Manager Seth Sahely, features a number of exciting and mouth-watering goodies, some of which he created himself.

     

    The burger variety now includes a fish burger, a veggie burger and one which has proven to be a customer favourite, the Supreme Burger.

     

    “When I came onboard I had the passion for creating new items so I created some of the burgers and some of the sides. If you are going to have a burger, you are going to have a burger! It is going to be one that you are going to remember and talk about. So I created burgers that are huge and packed with good things. The Supreme Burger, for example, comes with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mayo and ketchup, the beef patty, melted cheese and strips of bacon which gives that extra flavour.

     

    “We also have a fish burger which I am very proud of. It is a very popular one right now and it is prepared with a specially-made Chester’s sauce which we created.

     

    Also among the new items on the menu are hearty pastas including chicken, shrimp and veggie pasta.

     

    Putting Chester’s Chicken on the cusp of the fast food and technology marriage, customers now have access to its mobile app which can be downloaded from the Google Play store; the words “Chester’s St. Kitts” can be typed in and it would be the first app that shows. Download and the experience begins.

     

    “We are very excited about the app because we are moving forward with technology and you have an app that would actually help you to be able to enjoy Chester’s more comfortably. Because you can stay at home, take up your phone, go to the app and order what you want. You could actually see the Caribbean Cinemas movie list, you can play some games, you can win gift vouchers, a variety of things. So the app is very user friendly and is a very exciting tool that I think a lot of people would gravitate to.”

     

    Also as part of the new thrust, Sahely – a chef and caterer - said the staff has been given some training.

     

    “I trained the staff in the food preparation as well as customer service so it is a new era in terms of food, technology, customer service and everything. We are going full force with making Chester’s band new.”

     

    Tuesday’s official launch of the rebirth of the Chester’s Chicken brand was punctuated with live music, giveaways, discounts and a hot-and-spicy wings eating competition, the winner of which walked away with $150.

     

    The wings are also part of the new menu and according to Sahely, they are either hot-and-spicy, barbeque flavoured or regular.
