"A time for Reflection and Renewal"
August 25th,2016 -- That was theme of the 7th Annual General Meeting of the FND Enterprise Co-operative Credit Union which encapsulated the achievements of the institution for fiscal year 2015.
The AGM was held on Thursday August 11th, 2016 and was attended by 100 members.
Brother Karl Warren Spencer, General Manager of the Community First Co-operative Credit Union from Antigua delivered the features address in which he highlighted the importance of the 6th Principle of Cooperatives, which is "Cooperation Among Cooperatives". He told our members that he was very delighted to share his experiences with any credit union to avoid us making the mistakes that his credit union would have made. His presentation was very well received by both volunteers, staff and members.
Members accepted the Financial Accounts, Reports from Committees and elected new Board and Committees volunteers for the current year.
Nearing the end of the formal business session of the meeting the President, on behalf of the Board of Directors recommended a 7% dividend for year ending 2015, which was enthusiastically approved by the membership.
Three staff members were recognized and awarded for their exceptional service to the Credit union during the early part of 2016. They were Mr. Elleston Welsh, Loans Officer and Mr. Elvis Morton, Office Attendant from the Head Office and Mr.Diquone Claxton from the Nevis Branch.
The Board also paid special recognition and Awarded Mrs. Juliette Weekes-Caines, a member who has adhered to our request to refer members to the FND Credit Union. The Board, Management and staff appreciate and commended her efforts and presented her with a Plaque and a two night stay at the Marriott Resort, which she richly deserves.
All members of the Executive Committee were returned to their position from the previous year at the elections of the first Board Meeting held on July 18th, 2016 as follows:
