    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, OCTOBER 21ST 2005
      A Thanksgiving Service, the launching of the new St. Kitts and Nevis (machine-readable) Passports and the signing of the Agreement for the upgrade and expansion of the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport are among several events planned to mark the First Anniversary of the Third Term of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration of Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas.
    The Thanksgiving Service at the Antioch Baptist Church this coming Sunday 23rd October begins at 11:00 A.M. and will be conducted by Pastor Lincoln Connor.
     
    Labour Party Chairman and Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Industry and Commerce Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris and General Secretary, Ms. Sharylle Richardson, will read lessons, while Deputy National Political Leader and Acting Prime Minister, the Hon. Sam Condor, who is also Minister of Education, Youth, Social and Community Development and Gender Affairs, will give brief remarks.
     
    Minister of National Security, Justice, Immigration and Labour, the Hon. Dwyer Astaphan will officially launch the new St. Kitts and Nevis Machine-Readable Passports during a ceremony on Tuesday 25th October. The ceremony will take place on the ground floor of Government Headquarters at 4:00 P.M.
     
    On Thursday 27th October, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas will use the opportunity of a stopover in New York on his way home from an Official Visit to Japan, to hold a public meeting in the Bronx.
     
    Dr. Douglas will use the opportunity to speak to Kittitians and Nevisians in New York and surrounding areas on developments in the Federation following the closure of the sugar industry. The meeting will be held in the Auditorium of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in the Bronx at 7:00 P.M.
     
    Friday 28th October has been designated Wear Red Day and a Take-Away-Luncheon will be held at the Bay Road, West of the Old Treasury Building. Organisers say patrons stand a chance of winning several valuable prizes.

    The signing of the Agreement for the upgrade and expansion of the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport will be held on Friday 4th November.

    A Special Delegates Conference of the ruling St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party will convene at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort on Sunday 6th November to elect a new National Executive.
     
    At the Labour Party's 73rd Conference last May, the election of a new National Executive was deferred until the recommendations of a Special Committee is discussed and accepted for a new administrative structure.

    In his Conference Address, National Political Leader and Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Denzil L. Douglas spoke of the importance of embarking upon a process of renewal and regeneration.

    The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party won seven of the 11 seats in the October 25th 2004 General Election for a third consecutive term. The Labour Party under the leadership of Dr. Douglas was first elected in July 1995 and re-elected in March 2000
