Police Press Release: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, November, 02 2016, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period November 01.

     

    ARREST AND BAIL:
    Bailed: Marcus Huggins of Roxborough Street, Newtown who was arrested for the offence, Larceny was granted bailed in the sum of $10,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday, November 03, 2016.

    OTHER ACTIVITY:
    Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a search warrant in the Brown Hill area, Nevis for having controlled drugs, arms and ammunition.  
     
    Missing Number Plates: There have been several reports in the last few weeks of stolen/missing license plate. The general public is advised that in the even your license plates are lost/missing/or stolen to report the matter to the Police. This will allow our officers to be on the lookout for vehicles bearing those numbers.  
     
    Traffic Accidents: There were three (3) accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report. 
     
    Citizen Safety:  Officers continue to conduct stop and searches and vehicular check points in our community.  For the period October 31- November 01, over 25 such engagements were conducted. These citizen safety initiatives are being done in efforts to rid our communities of illegal firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used to commit crime and support criminal activity.  
     
    Community Engagement:  The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force held a talent show and karaoke competition on Tuesday night (November 01) at the Old Boys School on Victoria Road. The event was well received by the community.  The turn out was great.
