Fraites bread bus robbery accused on bail

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – BAIL has been granted to the man who is accused of robbing the Fraites Bakery bread bus during the latter part of last month.

On October 19, 2016, the Bakery’s bus was making deliveries within the Saddlers Village area when, having stopped at a customer, a gunman approached and robbed the driver of a bag which contained an undisclosed sum of cash.

Jared Daniel-Isaac of Saddlers Village was charged with that robbery and, according to a police press release issued today (Nov. 9), he was bailed in the sum of $30,000 with a number of conditions attached.

He was ordered to refrain from interfering witnesses in this case, to surrender his travel documents to the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court, to refrain from having any contact or communication with the virtual complainant whether personally or through anyone acting on his behalf, and to report daily to the Cayon Police Station between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

He was also ordered not to visit Fraites Bakery or Grocery in Molyneaux.

Daniel-Isaac is expected to appear before the District ‘B’ Magistrate’s Court on December 5, 2016.

Just two week before this incident occurred, one of the proprietors and an employee of Fraites and Sons Bakery were held at gunpoint at the establishment and the perpetrators were successful in stealing an undisclosed sum of money from a safe/vault there.

That incident is still under investigation.
