BASSETERRE (11th November, 2016): The destination of St. Kitts was recognised at the prestigious WTM Caribbean Media Awards, held Monday when UK Travel Blogger, Suzanne Jones of The Travel Bunny was presented with the award for ‘Best Blog Feature’ for her post, ‘Hello St. Kitts – The Authentic Caribbean Island’.
‘Hello St. Kitts’ which tells the story about St. Kitts through Suzanne’s own personal experiences of the island’s culture, its heritage, culinary offerings and a host of activities enjoyed during a visit to the island in April 2016, was chosen for its exceptional quality in its category. In the words of the judges, ‘Hello St. Kitts’ offered a compelling and inspirational introduction to St. Kitts, illustrated with evocative images and descriptive content.

The Caribbean Media Awards were held at WTM venue, Fox @Excel, on Monday November 7, 2016, attended by close to 100 guests, comprising of visiting Caribbean Ministers, Tourism Officials, UK Chapter members and a wide range of journalists and bloggers. Awards consist of categories including Best Broadcast, Best Consumer feature, Best National Newspaper Feature, Best Online Feature, Best Photojournalism, Best Regional Newspaper feature, Best Travel Trade feature and Best Blog feature. Hundreds of nominations are submitted by CTO members in the UK, with the final shortlist of winners announced just before the WTM.
