Darren Bravo reportedly sent home from Tri-series in Zimbabwe

By: Staff Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WEST INDIES in-form number three batsman, Darren Bravo has reportedly been sent home from the regional team because of his harsh comments towards President of the West Indies Cricket Board, Dave Cameron.

According to a report published by a regional sports site, Sportsmax, they were reliably informed of Bravo’s departure from the Tri-Nation series tour which include Sri-Lanka and host nation Zimbabwe.

Many are speculating that Bravo’s removal from the tour could be the result of his harsh social media posting, where he criticized Cameron for comments he made about his performance which resulted in him being offered a C contract.

The post on Darren’s twitter, “You hav been failing 4 d last 4yrs. Y don't u resign and FYI I've neva been given an A contract. Big idiot @davec51”, has not been removed.

In that post, Bravo indicated that he was never given the A contract as was recently indicated by Cameron.

In a post on another social media page, the young Trinidad and Tobago left-handed batsman indicated that he was on his way home.

On his instagram page, he says: “HomeSweetHome” with a photo of his suitcase and two travelling bags.

Despite being one of the more reserved West Indian players, Bravo received commendations for his action from those on his social media page.

Miss_mike94: “They say that the proof is in the pudding. This just proves how big of an idiot this man really is. Thank God your talent doesn't activate only when you play for the West Indies. God will open other doors, dbu. Chin up and let the empty vessels make their noise.”

Another, simon.rees@dmbravo46 says: “Dave the Dictator won't get the message until no one plays for WI.”

The Windies boys kick off their series on Wednesday (Nov. 16) in Harare when they come up against Sri Lanka in a day game.
