BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SHORTLY after the workday at Caribelle Batik, Old Road was ended yesterday (Dec. 6), one of the employees there was robbed of an undisclosed sum of money by two armed, masked individuals.
District Commander for that area Superintendent Travis Rogers (Ag) told SKNVibes that the incident occurred sometime after 4:00 p.m.
The employee, who was reportedly in possession of the day’s earnings, was approached by the two gun-toting individuals who demanded that money be given to them.
This publication understands that the bag in which the money was being held was taken, the money removed therefrom after which the culprits fled the scene.
Superintendent (Ag) Rogers said the incident took place in the Caribelle Batik parking lot.
The police were alerted of the incident, they responded and investigations are being made.
