ST. THOMAS, USVI - DANCEHALL artiste D’Angel walked away unharmed after a car accident on Saturday night (May 30) while on her way to a party in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
According to One876entertainment, “Who God bless, no man curse” were the first words out of D’Angel’s mouth when the media house contacted her on Monday.
The media house added that D’Angel, whose real name is Michelle Downer, said, "I was on my way to Bibi's dance in St. Thomas. We couldn't have been more than one minute away when all of a sudden a car ran into us. My side of the vehicle mash up and the airbag them deploy same time. It was like a movie, I was a spectator to it all."
D’Angel said she was glad that no one was injured and all she could have thought about at the time was her son Marco Dean.
The people in the other vehicle were said to have fled the scene in another car. D’Angel was being driven by her producer Seanizzle.
D’Angel is known for her hits ‘Woman Power’, ‘Blaze’ ‘Baby Father and ‘Stronger’. She also received a lot of media attention after her marriage and nasty break up with dancehall sensation Beenie Man.
The two tied the knot in 2006 and split less than one year after.
