By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Miss National Carnival Queen Show held last evening (Dec. 8) was momentarily interrupted when it was announced that a car – parked nearby – had caught fire.

The announcement made by the evening’s host was that the owner and or driver of motorcar P461 should report to the grounds of the Basseterre High School where his or her vehicle was ablaze.

SKNVibes understands that a unit from the St. Kitts-Nevis Fire and Rescue Services arrived on scene after that Department was alerted of the happening at about 10:45p.m.

This publication also understands that when the unit arrived on the scene, the vehicle was engulfed in flames.

A further announcement was made during the show requesting that some seven other vehicles needed to be removed from the area.

The fire was however quickly extinguished and prevented from spreading to other areas or vehicles.

The vehicle is said to have been in the possession of Gianni Lake and is the property of his father Radley Lake.

According to reports, no one was injured during the incident.

Fire Chief Everette O’Garro told SKNVibes the cause of the fire is unknown.
