Two wounded in Old Road shooting

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A near-midnight shooting incident occurred in the Old Road yesterday (Jan. 6) leaving two males injured and police trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together.

     

    The incident – as was confirmed by Superintendent Travis Rogers (Ag) - occurred at about 11:45 p.m. – at Green Tree Housing Project where an unknown individual shot at a house there.

     

    SKNVibes understands that Darren Webster and Calvert Francis were shot in the process; Webster sustained a gunshot wound(s) to his left side while Francis was shot in one of his shoulders.

     

    The Superintendent informed that these were not the only occupants of the house.

     

    The wounded men were taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by police in a private vehicle where they are receiving medical treatment.

     

    Investigations into the incident are being made by the Violent Crimes Unit. And individuals who have information which could assist the police with their inquiries are asked to call the nearest police station, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241.
