Police Press Release 24-01-2017(02): Report of arrests, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, January, 24 2017, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period January 20 - 22 2017

     

    ARREST AND BAIL: 
    Arrested: Shaquiel Emanuel Liburd of Conaree was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Breaching of Injunction Production Order SKBMDV 2016/0026 committed on January 2nd 2017.
     
    Arrested/Bailed: George Douglas of Willets Housing St. Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for driving without license and Insurance. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Valentine Paris of Phillips Village was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of causing death by dangerous driving of 6 months J.B that was committed on January 14th 2017 on a warrant in the first instance.  He was granted bail in the sum of $50,000 for his appearance at the District "B" Magistrate Court on February 6th 2017 at 09:00 hrs. His bail condition is to report to the Tabernacle Police Station every Mondays and Fridays between the hours of 7:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m and he was asked to surrender his travel document to the court. 
     
    Arrested/Bailed: Collis King of East Street Newtown was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Obstruction committed on January 18th 2017. He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 23/1/17 at 09:00 hrs. 
     
    Bailed: Eric Thompson of Molineaux Street, Ponds Pasture who was arrested for the offence Resisting Arrest was granted bail in the sum of $5000 for his appearance at the Dieppe Bay Magistrate Court on Monday, 6th March, 2017. 
     
    COURT CONVICTION:-
    In the matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court Presided over by Your Honour Renold Benjamin and he reported: 
     
    Alembert Hernandez of Buckleys was found guilty for the offence of driving without due care and attention and fined five hundred dollars ($500.00) in fourteen (14) days or one month imprisonment. 
     
    OTHER ACTIVITY: 
    House Breaking Larceny: Police is investigating a number of reports of House Breaking and Larceny which occurred in the following areas: Fountain Estate, Stoney Grove, Carifesta Village and Main Road Saddlers. The scenes were processed, all investigations continue.     
     
    Search Warrant Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants over the period of this report. The Warrants were executed in the following areas: West Farm, Sprott Street and Verchilds Extension.  
     
    Marijuana Plants Uprooted: Officers from “SSU” conducted a bush patrol during which they discovered and reported that they uprooted two hundred and thirty (230) plants ranging from seedlings to three feet in height out of two (2) patches in the Lime Kiln area. 
     
    Abandoned Properties Search: Police continues to execute searches of abandoned properties, Most recent searches were done in the following arrears: Cleverly Hill “Sandy Point”, Little Italy “Ottleys Village”, Dorset Area, Conaree, Red Snapper lane, Cayon and Main Road Sandy Point. The searches were done in search of Controlled Drugs, Arms Ammunition and Implements used in the commission of crimes. 
     
    Traffic Accidents: There were twelve (12) accident on the federation’s roadways (8) St. Kitts and (4) in Nevis during the period of this report.
