DJ Nicholas to be featured on Bigger Better Praise this Friday

By: Andre Huie, Press Release

February 24th, 2017 -- Acclaimed Reggae Gospel artist DJ Nicholas will be the headline act for the Bigger Better Praise Concert in Cabbage Tree, Cayon this Friday. The concert organized by Redeemed Promotions, will be held under the tent of New Birth Gospel Tabernacle Church, just two days after the church would have ended a weeklong crusade. DJ Nicholas is well known for songs such as “Holy Ghost Gym,” “Things Already Better,” “Back to the Owner” and “Meet My Star” among several other hits and is a household favorite around the Caribbean. The last time Nicholas graced the shores of St. Kitts and Nevis was in 2014 at an independence concert along with headliners Sinach and Bridgette Blucher.

This is the second major concert in St. Kitts and Nevis organized by Redeemed Promotions. A promotion entity based in Antigua and Barbuda, Redeemed Promotions organize what is known as crusade concerts, which is used to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and win persons who may not necessarily attend a church. The first event was Gospel Explosion in December last year at the Flow Grounds featuring Atta Boafo, Di Anointed Vale of local record label JIFE Music and Shawn English. That concert was hailed as a major success and whetted the appetite of gospel lovers in St. Kitts and Nevis.

This time the concert also features Atta Boafo from Ghana, popularly known for the song “Double Double,” Nyquan and Dominic Brookes of JIFE Music and Di Anointed Vale.

For Di Anointed Vale, it means a lot to him to be featured on this event alongside some of the greatest artists in his genre. “To be featured on another event of this caliber is another milestone for me and I am looking forward to ministering to the people of St Kitts and Nevis. It gives me pleasure to be one of the headliners of Bigger Better Praise Concert 2017. I just released my album and I'm really excited to release live some of those tracks to the people of St Kitts and Nevis,” Vale said in a press release.

For the past week, Redeemed Promotions, together with the New Birth Gospel Tabernacle organized the Better Days crusade featuring a ministry team from Jamaica and Antigua and Barbuda including Prophetess Winette Miller, Pastor Philbert Johnson, Pastor Patrick Morrison, Beverley Smith and Evangelist Jernel Auboine. Several persons committed their lives to Jesus Christ and are expected to get baptized soon.

The high point of the mission trip was the baptism of 16 inmates at Her Majesty’s Prison in Basseterre, which was part of the evangelism activities by Redeemed Promotions. The concert on Friday night would cap off the week of activity. Redeemed Promotions have endeavored to make the event affordable with a $25 admission fee which is payable at the gate. Children under five years old free of cost, 6 and older pay $15 also at the gate.
