What makes you unique?
My multi faceted personality makes me unique. Firstly, each of the letters of my name describes my uniqueness. S-Superlative, H-Honest, E-Educated, O-Outstanding, N-Noble, A –Assertive. Then there is my confident nature, bluntness and my strong sense of loyalty. I have an unbelievable capability to forgive for I think everyone should be granted a second chance in life to prove themselves. I am a motivator and I always aspire to succeed.
Where are you from? If you were to use two adjectives that describe your community and which also describe you as a person, what would those adjectives be?
I am from College Street. I was raised there so naturally I was positively influenced by that environment. College Street is a devoted and dynamic community, qualities that I myself possess.
To whom would you attribute your success (es) in life thus far?
My mother is the most influential person in my life. She is the one I turn to whenever I need advice. She encourages and reminds me that I can accomplish anything in life and that I should never lose sight of my goals. Her words of wisdom and courage have granted me the wisdom to understand that nothing in life comes easy.
What do you hope to gain by participating in a pageant of this nature?
Participating in this prestigious pageant is an opportunity to showcase my talents and promote my community. Also, by participating, I am contributing to the silver jubilee celebrations of the Federation of St.Kitts and Nevis.
What does Independence mean to you on a personal level?
Independence means that I have the ability to make my own decisions and take my own path instead of following the infamous "in" crowd. Being independent means taking full responsibility to set realistic goals, make prudent decisions and choices that will not only positively impact my life but others as well.
What other significant achievements would you like to see in the Federation over the next 25 years?
In the next twenty five years I would like to see a rapid decrease in gang violence and teenage pregnancy. Presently gang violence in our federation is on the increase and children are becoming parents. This is not healthy for our Federation. I hope that more young people would take advantage of all the opportunities available so that they can elevate themselves. Greater effort needs to be exerted on the part of the authorities to ensure that they are always support systems in place to assist them so that they will make positive contributions to society. It is also my wish that St. Kitts & Nevis would be declared as the number one tourist attraction in the Caribbean.
