Amanda Payne is our third featured contestant and also contestant number three in the 2008 Miss Basseterre High School pageant.
She will be competing against four other contestants on Friday, November 7, at Carnival Village.
The other four contestants that will be competing are Clivette Nias, Miss Sports and Development; Kerchelle Harris, Miss Diversity; Crystal Nias, Miss Technology; and Berriscia Byron, Miss Education.

Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years? I see myself pursuing my studies in Law at a British university.
What do you hope to gain by entering this pageant? It should boost my self-confidence and prove to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to.
What do you think are the major problems that affect teenagers today and how would you solve them? Peer pressure is one of the biggest problems we teens are faced with. To solve this issue, parents should be more involved in their children’s social life, keeping an eye on their activities, friends and whole well-being. Talking to us lovingly helps a whole lot.
