    Basseterre, St. Kitts (October 26, 2005): As the celebration of the Month of the Elderly approaches completion the senior citizens continue to exhibit their skills and contributions to the society.
    In an impressive exhibition of a wide variety of hand-made goods the senior citizens showed that they still have a lot to offer by way of the economic advancement of the Federation. The items on display and included purses, mats, memo-pad holders, sweaters and other items of clothing, baskets, other crocheted and knitted items among other things.
     
    T.D.C. made a presentation of awards to outstanding members of the Golden Years Club including Wilmoth Bloice, Louise Broody, Pearline Cable, Janette Davis, Cynthia Francis, Roslyn Grant, Simon Grant, Irene Williams and Eltruda Rawlins.
     
    Supervisor of Social Development Ms. Anne Wigley praised TDC for its commitment to the elderly.

    Ms. Wigley called on other members of the corporate community to follow the excellent example of TDC by coming on-board in assisting with programmes for the elderly.
