Worrell D. Nero JD, LEC appointed Honorary Consul of St. Kitts-Nevis in Philadelphia

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Worrell D. Nero as Honorary Consul of St. Kitts and Nevis in Philadelphia, USA.

     

    Mr. Nero, a practicing attorney, is a product of East Basseterre and the Basseterre Senior School.  He migrated to the USA in 1972, served in the US Army and after honorable discharge settled in Washington DC where he studied accounting.  He subsequently read law at Loyola Law School where he earned a Juris Doctor Degree in 1987.

     

    He opened his own law firm in Philadelphia in 1991 and he now enjoys an international practice concentrating in the areas of Immigration Law, Criminal Law, Business Litigation and Personal Injury.

     

    Mr. Nero holds Legal Bar Membership in several jurisdictions including that of the East Caribbean Supreme Court  and in May 2009 he was inducted into the United States Supreme Court Bar by Chief Justice John Roberts and the Associated Justices.

     

    In the Philadelphia community, Mr. Nero sits on the Board of Directors of a number of corporate and non-profit community development organizations.  His service has several times been acknowledged and in 2007 he was presented with a United States Congressional Award by the Honorable Chaka Fattah of Philadelphia for his service to the Caribbean Community in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.

     

    We sincerely congratulate Mr. Nero on his appointment as Honorary Consul of St. Kitts and Nevis and wish him every further success.
