Man struck by passenger bus on Cayon Street

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is investigating an incident where a man was struck by a vehicle on Friday (Mar. 10) evening.

     

    SKNVibes understands that the pedestrian was in the vicinity of the Chinese supermarket on Cayon Street, Basseterre when the incident occurred.

     

    The Traffic Department reported that at about 5:30 p.m., the man was walking a pushing a trolley when the collision occurred between him and motor omnibus HA368, which was travelling in a westerly direction.

     

    The Department also revealed, that according to information it had gathered, the driver of HA368 complained that the glare of the sun affected his vision shortly before the accident occurred.

     

    The victim was reportedly transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by the Emergency Medical Services for possible treatment and observation. SKNVibes is uncertain however, about whether he was detained or released.

     

    Investigations are being made.
