BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE number of homicides in St. Kitts and Nevis has increased by one, when a young man allegedly stabbed his brother last evening (Mar. 25).

This incident was confirmed by the Police Force’s Public Relations Officer, who in a press statement this morning said, “The Violent Crime Unit is currently investigating a stabbing incident on Janet Alley in McKnight Village that resulted in the death of one person.”

According to an earlier report reaching this media house, a male juvenile was said to have been stabbed to death by his 21-year-old brother.

The report also indicated that the two had an argument which resulted in the older brother brandishing a knife with which he allegedly stabbed his sibling.

This aspect of the report was confirmed by the police’s press release, which stated that “the investigations have revealed that at about 10.00pm on Saturday (March 25), an altercation occurred between the deceased, a 15 year old male and the assailant.”

The young man is said to be in custody assisting police with their investigation.
