SKN records third road fatality for 2017

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHAT was to have been a customary walk into Basseterre turned into an unfortunate traffic accident which left one man dead.

The deceased has been identified as Ashley Browne – a middle-aged man – and the incident took place early this morning (Apr. 7).

It is understood that Browne – who reportedly worked at Leeward Cove as a security guard – was walking along the Frigate Bay Road into Basseterre when the incident occurred.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Browne completed his work shift and proceeded to walk to the city, as he had done many times before. This time, however, he was struck by a bus.

SKNVibes understands that he succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

More information would be provided by this media house as it becomes available.

Browne was the proprietor of a printery which is located on central Market Street.

This is the Federation’s third road fatality for the year and investigations into the incident are being made.
